Crevasse Rescue Training 4 hours class and 8 hours in the field
This course is designed for skiers and mountaineers and is taught over a Friday night evening classroom session, followed by a full hands on field day on Saturday.
All techniques utilize the latest developments and research in crevasse rescue currently used in the Canadian guiding industry. Students will learn "Canadian Drop Loop" with 2:1, 6:1 and 10:1 systems.
We will also go over roping up, spacing, use of knots and tips for glacier travel.
Instructor to Student Ratio: - 1:6
Prerequisites: Familiarity with basic, common climbing knots
Price: $215 + GST - includes 1 night accommodation or $185 + GST - no accommodation
